2004 R1150RT, Runs great, no road rash, no rust and no paint chips. Shows better than normal wear and tear for a bike of this age...bike has been well maintained and garaged its entire life. Starts and runs great and handles like a sport bike. No modifications to the bike except those listed. Battery and Metzeler Roadtecs have less than 2k. No mechanical or cosmetic issues. The bike is a great example of BMW's reputation for reliability and performance. Like a lot of BMWs this bike is just a little too tall for my 25" inseam. Once off the stand it is a long distance pleasure to ride. ABS. Heated grips and electric windshield make cold weather a lot easier. Factory audio prep. .Plug in your MP3, SD card or an audio device with 3.5 plug or just listen to FM through factory speakers. Audio is switched remotely from dash panel. The hard bags are in excellent shape with locks that are keyed alike with the ignition and are on and off in a minute. Hard wired into the bike is a Garmin Zumo 650/665 LM mount. With your GPS mounted, XM, Bluetooth and external audio is available. If your headset is an Interphone I will leave the remote installed. Sargent low seat is installed and the standard seat goes with the bike. Rider manual and maintenance manual as well as a Clymer service manual. The bike is solid and described truthfully but is Sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY expressed or implied. All buyers are required to make a $500 deposit within 24 hours of sale. Pay Pal is accepted for the deposit The remainder of the balance must be paid in full within 7 days after the time of sale. Cashier's check, Money order, Cash in person or Bank to bank wire transfer. Celebrity Jurors Named for BMW R1200GS Contest
Mon, 26 Nov 2012BMW announced its four-member celebrity jury panel for its globe-spanning “Ride of Your Life” R1200GS adventure contest. The panel is comprised of Academy-Award winner Adrien Brody, Paris-Dakar Rally winner Jutta Kleinschmidt, actor Rick Yune and noted motorcycle adventurer Charley Boorman. The panel will select five winners for the “Ride of Your Life” contest (also known as the “One World, One GS” contest) to promote the new 2013 BMW R1200GS.
2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport Announced
Fri, 04 Jul 2014BMW announced a new special edition version of the K1300S equipped with some upgraded parts and a unique paint job. The 2015 BMW K1300S Motorsport comes with a new Black Storm Metallic, Light White and Lupine Blue Metallic color scheme, with a bit of red striping for good measure. A band of black running across the top of the bike from nose to tank to tail is complemented by a tinted windscreen.
BMW Quitting WSBK After 2013 Season
Wed, 24 Jul 2013BMW announced it will withdraw its factory support from the World Superbike Championship at the end of the 2013 season. According to BMW, the company will concentrate on its production models including the addition of new small-displacement models and reaching developing markets. BMW Motorrad will also shift resources to other motorsports activities such as supporting customer racing efforts in both international and domestic competitions.
