111,000 miles and runs great. This is the police model, and was formally a California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) bike. The lights and sirens were removed, and a rear seat installed so you can ride 2-up like normal. I had the local BMW motorcycle shop perform all scheduled maintenance last fall, plus it has: -New tires -New stainless steel braided brake lines -New batteries Police model unique features: -larger alternator -two batteries -switch to turn off the lights -fan behind the oil cooler. Other R1150RT features include: -removable locking hard luggage -adjustable height windshield -heated grips -fuel injection -fuel gauge -adjustable headlamp beam height -three-position driver's seat No warranty. EBR 1190 Wins 2011 European Superbike Championship
Wed, 02 Nov 2011Harald Kitsch and the Pegasus Race Team has won its second championship on the EBR 1190RR, capturing the 2011 European Superbike open race class title. The championship follows Kitsch’s win in the 2010 Sound of Thunder V-Twin Championship on the Erik Buell Racing racebike. While the Sound of Thunder championship was won against other V-Twin machines, the European Superbike class included sportbikes from the Japanese Big Four, BMW, Aprilia and Ducati.
