2004 BMW R1150RT-P Motorcycle
111,000 miles and runs great. This is the police model, and was formally a California Highway Patrol (CHiPs) bike. The lights and sirens were removed, and a rear seat installed so you can ride 2-up like normal. I had the local BMW motorcycle shop perform all scheduled maintenance last fall, plus it has: -New tires -New stainless steel braided brake lines -New batteries Police model unique features: -larger alternator -two batteries -switch to turn off the lights -fan behind the oil cooler. Other R1150RT features include: -removable locking hard luggage -adjustable height windshield -heated grips -fuel injection -fuel gauge -adjustable headlamp beam height -three-position driver's seat No warranty. BMW Posts Record First-Half Figures

First half figures were 6.3% higher than the 57,015 units sold in the same period in 2010. BMW reports strong demand across all its models, with the Boxer engine R-series models leading the way.
BMW Scooter News Imminent?

Road test after road test, I shamelessly fawn and toady over all these $30,000 motorcycles loaned to me by the masters of the universe who produce them… I do feel some guilt, but this is really the only job skill I’ve got. Thankfully, sometimes the motorcycle makes it really easy to gush, which is the case with BMW’s freshly overhauled K1600 line.
