Red 2004 R1150 RT. Twin spark motor which eliminates surging issues of earlier oilheads and uses no oil. Mobil 1 Synthetic used at all oil changes. I have owned this Motorcycle for a short time, it was originally an Edelweiss touring bike and it was bought from Irv Seaver BMW. I am the third owner. Well maintained and smooth shifting and riding. Suburban machinery foot peg lowering kit with shifter relocation, PIAA aux. lighting (foot pegs pictured on these mounts are removed), 1" bar backs. Extra Large Cee Bailey windshield. Wired for Garmin Zumo 665 (not included) with RCU shelf. Last service was at 78k which included bleeding abs and all new brake fluid. Next scheduled service at 84k. No error codes and no issues with electrical systems on bike. Original parts are included in sale. Mon, 14 May 2012BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.
2011-2012 BMW K1600GT, K1600GTL Recalled in Canada for Engine Stall Issues
Thu, 31 Oct 2013BMW is recalling the 2011-2012 K1600GT and K1600GTL in Canada because of a risk of the engine stalling. At the moment, a recall has only been confirmed for Canada, though we expect a similar recall to come for the U.S. market from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Ex-BMW Executive Pieter De Waal Joins Zero Motorcycles Board of Directors

De Waal provides Zero with more than 30 years of experience in the automotive and motorcycle industries. Formerly of Nissan, Delta (General Motors), Mercedes Benz and, most recently, BMW, De Waal has experience dealing with many facets of the industry, from engineering to sales.
