BMW R-Series description

This 2002 BMW R1150R has been garaged since new. 4101 original miles. ABS brakes and heated grips. Color is mostly yellow with some black (yellow is easily seen). Also equipped with windscreen, center stand, and side (kick) stand.

 A beautiful bike in great condition. Almost like buying a new bike for a lot less money.

Serviced by BMW dealer less than two weeks ago. Biannual service. New fluids. Integral ABS flush and bleed. All recall issues addressed with minor warrantee work performed. New fuel line connectors. New Michelin Tires front and rear with nitrogen fill. Test ridden by dealer. This work done by Bob's BMW in Jessup, MD. All documents for this maintenance available. Very minor scuffing on left engine cover and left grip. Very minor paint chipped on access cap near right grip. Bike comes with new bike cover and new Haynes Service and Repair Manual. See photos.

BMW Motorrad USA Reports 7.4% Growth in 2011

BMW Motorrad reported a 7.4% growth in U.S. sales in 2011, nearly double the growth reported in the previous year. The 7.4% growth is also higher than the overall worldwide growth of 6.4% BMW recently announced.

BMW released its year-end 2012 financial report, reporting revenues of 1.49 billion euros (US$1.93 billion) from its motorcycle business in 2012, up from 1.44 billion euros in 2011. The increased revenues came in a record year for BMW with the company selling an all-time record of 106,358 motorcycles in 2012. Despite the increase in sales revenue, BMW reported a much smaller profit from its motorcycle business, earning 9 million euros (US$11.6 million) in 2012, compared to 45 million euros in 2011.

The third instalment of the Indian action blockbuster Dhoom became the highest grossing Indian film of all time. More interesting than that are the laughable bike scenes, with Dhoom 3 featuring one chase scene between a K1300R and a S1000RR. In the first Dhoom film a Hayubasu magically transformed into 125cc bike for a train jump.
