BMW R-Series tech info
BMW R-Series description
Up for auction is a 1999 BMW R1100R Naked motorcycle. We are a multi-line motorcycle dealership, selling new BMW, Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki
motorcycles in addition to a few other brands. This BMW
motorcycle was recently acquired in trade by our dealership, from a client who we sold it to just last summer. Our BMW
authorized
service department has performed an overall inspection & safety
check on this motorcycle, and everything is in good working condition. We have serviced this motorcycle for the past two owners, so we are familiar with this BMW R1100R and all recent maintenance is up to date.
This R1100R has ABS Brakes, Heated Grips, OEM from BMW, and the motorcycle has the addition of the Fog Lights as well. This BMW has just over 47,731 miles and we hold a clean Massachusetts Title for this bike. The prior owner never had title corrected, as it shows 146,268 miles. This was human error with the paperwork at the Motor Vehicle Office, where they mistaking put 146,268 instead of 46,268 which was the actual mileage at the time. This BMW 2-cyclinder boxer engine starts easy, runs strong, transmission shifts through all the gears smoothly, so this motorcycle should bring the next owner many years of happy riding. Please feel free to call 617-275-3784, with any questions or concerns during normal business hours. Trades are accepted for local buyers, but please inquire before bidding! |

Long Way Round camerman tests ebike in London rush hour
Fri, 26 Mar 2010WE'RE MORE USED to seeing him busting a gut on a fully-kitted BMW R1150GS, so testing a silent, non-emission electric motorcycle must have been a weird experience for 'Long Way Round' cameraman Claudio Von Planta. The clip gives a great impression of how a first-generation ebike copes with London's traffic two-up.
BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept
Fri, 01 Jul 2011As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.
