Customized 1999 BMW R1100R for sale. Very good condition. All customizations are cosmetic. Mechanically unmodified. Mechanically excellent. Well maintained. 3rd owner. Original San Francisco bike. All customizations done during my ownership. Original BMW windscreen and panniers included. CA registration to June 2017. I've recently invested in an R1200RT which is easier on my old back for longer tours.
Items customized: Seat and seat pan are hand-built. Seat allows for forward/aft movement to add comfort and a bit of style...:) Turn indicators are led Turn indicator supports are hand-made custom. Fender eliminator is hand-made. Invested over $3000 in customization (thought I was going to keep bike). Brand new Metzler Roadtec Z6 front and rear tires $280 Brand new Hagon shocks - $957 Extra Items included: BMW OEM full-size windscreen with mounting hardware and Laminar Lip in purchase price. Charley Boorman Tours Canada for New Series
Wed, 08 Jun 2011Actor and adventure rider Charley Boorman is getting ready for another journey, this one taking him across the Great White North on a tour of Canada. Best known for his Long Way Round and Long Way Down documentaries with his friend and riding partner Ewan McGregor, Boorman is touring Canada for a new series called Extreme Frontiers: Canada for the U.K.’s Channel 5. BMW Motorrad Canada will provide Boorman with his ride, likely from its GS line.
BMW Announces 2014 Model Updates and New K1600GT Sport
Thu, 11 Jul 2013BMW announced a new variant to its six-cylinder K-series and other small updates to returning 2014 models. The 2014 models were first revealed last weekend’s BMW Motorrad Days celebration but we now have full details on the updates. The new 2014 BMW K1600GT Sport is based on the existing K1600GT but adds a special Sakhir Orange/Black Storm Metallic paint job, black gloss-coated wheels, a shorter windscreen and a sportier seat design.
Larry Pegram To Race EBR 1190RX In 2014 AMA Superbike
Mon, 20 Jan 2014Larry Pegram and Erik Buell Racing will be partnering up in 2014 to race an EBR 1190RX in AMA Superbike. This will be Pegram’s third different OEM in as many years, as he rode a Yamaha last year, BMW before that and Ducati in 2011. Supporting Pegram will be his long-time title sponsor, Foremost Insurance Group, along with EBR sponsors AMSOIL and Hero MotoCorp.
