BMW R-Series description

I am selling this for a friend who due to medical reasons can no longer ride. The bike is imaculate other than the brake fluid stain seen in the photos on the tank. I am not sure if this might be able to be buffed out. Extras on the bike are leather saddle bags, mirror like chrome engine guards and windshield. From its inception, the R1200C featured a passenger seat that could fold up to become a driver backrest with three different angles, adjustable while riding. Because he can't ride he is also including a xxl jacket, xxl gloves and xxl helmet along with a motorcycle garage jack new and still in the box. This was always garaged... NEVER ridden in the rain and was his pride and joy which he cared for with kid gloves. This bike was seen in the James Bond film TOMORROW NEVER DIES. The location is in sequim washington which is on the olympic penninsula. here are some specs: Engine and transmission Displacement: 1170.00 ccm (71.39 cubic inches) Engine type: Two cylinder boxer, four-stroke Power: 61.00 HP (44.5 kW)) @ 5000 RPM Torque: 98.00 Nm (10.0 kgf-m or 72.3 ft.lbs) @ 3000 RPM Top speed: 170.0 km/h (105.6 mph) Valves per cylinder: 4 Cooling system: Air Gearbox: 5-speed Transmission type, final drive: Shaft drive (cardan) Chassis, suspension, brakes and wheels Front brakes: Dual disc Rear brakes: Single disc Physical measures and capacities Dry weight: 239.0 kg (526.9 pounds) Power/weight ratio: 0.2552 HP/kg Seat height: 740 mm (29.1 inches) If adjustable, lowest setting. BMW Sales Down 2.3% in First Half of 2012 but Record Finish Still Predicted

Fri, 06 Jul 2012

BMW predicts a record year for motorcycle sales despite a 2.3% dip over the first six months. The first half of 2012 saw BMW sell 59,189 units, down from the 60,580 units reported for the same period in 2011. The decrease is primarily because of a 13.2% drop in sales in June.

The Falloon Files: 1973 BMW R90S

Let's Boxer In 1973, I was beginning to look at the streetbike magazines as well as the dirtbike ones on the magazine rack at Lyons Drug; there must’ve been 20 or 30 of them, and plenty of time to browse as there was no www, and very little hope of obtaining any motorcycle at all anytime soon. The 1973 BMW R90S was a chunk of pure unobtanium, from a planet far, far away, that knocked my striped tube socks completely off. Ian Falloon wrote an entire 128-page book about it.

How to murder an HP2 Sport

Some bikes and cars should be left entirely stock; left unchanged from the way the factory intended them to be. In purchasing them you should understand that. I could produce a list of vehicles that should be taken off the owner if they modified them in any way but I'll save you the boredom.
