BMW R-Series description

Beautiful Black RT1100. Custom graphics, completely dealer maintained, all records.

It has a $1K Corbin seat and backrests, large trunk, Extra tall windshield (and original), PIA running lights, fresh tires, Signal Minder turn signal marker lights, battery trickle charger, performance muffler, cover and additional accessories. I also have silver XL and Small BMW helmets with Chatter Box communication system.
This bike has never been wrecked or damaged. Garage kept and covered always. It has 73K highway miles and is serviced every 6k miles. It cruises effortlessly at 80 mph all day, and handles beautifully.
I have 3 bikes and need to part with one. My loss is your gain. No low ball offers pleases. This bike is well worth the asking price. I've owned it since 1999.

Cash or Cashiers Check accepted for the sale. Clear title, current tag.

The future. But we can't have it

Thu, 10 Nov 2011

It's no secret that we motorcyclists are getting older. We're ageing because less people are passing their bike test each year (roughly 30,000 last year compared to 50,000 for the 10 years before the new two-part test) and so not only is the pool not growing it's not even being replenished and so the average age isn't being diluted down by yoof. When the going gets tough in any situation, you really get to see who's got their shit-sorted and who's light enough on their feet to adapt to change.

BMW's optional extras are getting ridiculous

The third instalment of the Indian action blockbuster Dhoom became the highest grossing Indian film of all time. More interesting than that are the laughable bike scenes, with Dhoom 3 featuring one chase scene between a K1300R and a S1000RR. In the first Dhoom film a Hayubasu magically transformed into 125cc bike for a train jump.

My S1000RR has stopped but it's only a broken chain.

I know there has been a lack of blogging on my S1000RR recently and that’s because it’s broken, but only a little bit. On July 18th I was at Silverstone looking after some Bahnstormer BMW customers, when late in the afternoon something hit me on the back as I was charging down the Wellington Straight. At that precise moment I also thought I had hit a false neutral but it turns out the chain had snapped.
