Up for auction is a wicked cool 1993 R100 GS Paris Dakar. The White/Teal PD paint scheme on this bike screams early 90s Germany. This bike is in very original shape. Features include heated grips, stone guard on the headlight, auxiliary oil cooler, knuckle guards and a perfect set of hard bags and rear rack. The only changes made from stock are the addition of a SuperTrap exhaust and a slightly larger front fender. The original exhaust will accompany the sale along with a spare set of tires. 91,037 miles. But the Rizoma ProGuard system has helped secure the levers of Toni Elias on his road to championship success in the inaugural Moto2 season. The example above was on an attractive Rizoma-enhanced BMW S1000RR, but the lever guards are not limited to sports bikes, they were also visible on Yamaha's FZ8. The patented design can tilt up to 10 degrees providing full lever coverage and can be added by simply replacing the bike's existing bar-ends.
WSBK: 2012 Brno Results
Mon, 23 Jul 2012Marco Melandri bit a chunk off of Max Biaggi‘s World Superbike championship points lead by taking a pair of wins at Brno. The double was the first in Melandri’s career and the first for BMW. Biaggi, who arrived in the Czech Republic with four wins and nine podium finishes in ten previous races at Brno, was held off the podium this year, shrinking his lead in the championship to 21 points from 48.
EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW S1000R Revealed
Tue, 05 Nov 2013BMW revealed a new naked version of its flagship S1000RR superbike, presenting the new 2014 S1000R at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The 999cc inline-Four engine has been retuned for low- to mid-range performance, with redesigned cylinder head ducts, modified cam profiles, updated engine management and a 2000 rpm reduction in the rev limit. BMW claims a peak output of 158 hp at 11000 rpm, compared to the S1000RR’s 193 hp claims.
