BMW R-Series description
Selling a beautiful, restored and updated BMW 1984 R65 LS. Stored carefully for years, until we took it in and had the following parts replaced by a certified (vintage) BMW mechanic. The owner was extremely meticulous about care and storage and the bike is in beautiful condition.
New brake fluid Brake lines Slave cylinder Master cylinder Battery Tires New oil filter Fuel filter The itemized service receipt can be provided. Included with the bike are the original manual and accompanying booklets, touch-up pens, and four keys. This is very much a collector bike, as the LS was a limited run of the R65 with a slightly different design. Please note- there is an added windshield, an added back storage rack, one of the small silver side panels has come loose, and the foot shifter is missing its rubber grip. All lights work, the emergency light switch itself does not, and should be rewired. There is a small scratch across the front fender. 4390 ORIGINAL MILES, starts and runs well. asking $5150 OBO, open to vehicle trades (local only). Located in South Bay, Los Angeles. Like the C1, which was produced 2000-2003, the concept has a number of safety features such as a roll-over bar, energy-absorbing nose to soften head-on collisions and seat belts. BMW Motorrad Days 2013 Draws 40,000 Visitors
Mon, 08 Jul 2013More than 40,000 Beemerphiles made their way to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, for BMW Motorrad Days on July 5-7. The 13th annual event at the Bavarian resort town saw visitors from more than 40 countries join together to celebrate BMW motorcycles. This year’s event was particularly notable for the 90th anniversary of motorcycles bearing the Bavarian Motor Works brand.
