BMW R-Series description

You are bidding on one 1983 BMW R100RT running project bike with only 10,298 miles. I got this bike from a friend of mine who had purchased it from an elderly gentleman. The bike did not come with a title, so I purchased a separate frame (the frame is a 1981 model RT-VIN 6232665) with clear title in order to rebuild the bike onto the titled frame. The engine started right up, and sounded smooth. The bike needs complete restoration: the brakes are not functional, and the front forks are slightly rusty. The gas tank is in good condition, but needs petcocks and a gas cap. As you can see from the pictures, the tank does not match the paint of the rest of the bike. The stock seat has been replaced with a Corbin seat, but the stock seat is included in the sale. I eliminated the emissions system, and plugged off the ports with an emissions kit from Bob's BMW. All the airbox parts and starter cover are included with the sale. The bike is being sold at no reserve to the highest bidder, AS-IS, with no warranties expressed or implied. Buyer is responsible for arrangement and costs of shipping. I will assist your shipper with getting the bike loaded for transport. You are also welcome to pick up the bike yourself, and I will be happy to arrange a time to meet. That being said, I believe this will make a great project for someone who has the capability and time to put it all together. Feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!

2012 Piaggio X10 Maxi-Scooter with ABS, Traction Control and Electronic Suspension

Thu, 19 Apr 2012

The Piaggio X10 slipped a little under the radar at the 2011 EICMA show behind other maxi-scooters such as Yamaha’s T-Max, BMW’s C650GT and C600 Sport and Piaggio’s own Aprilia SRV850. But take a look at some of the features Piaggio’s slapped onto the X10 and you’ll soon learn it’s not to be underestimated. The new flagship of Piaggio’s “Gran Turismo” scooter family, the X10 is equipped with anti-lock brakes anti-slip regulation (i.e.

MV Agusta Chairman Hubert Trunkenpolz Interview – Part One

Wed, 26 Jun 2024

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
