This 1979 BMW R100 has had one long term California owner. Retaining its original blue license plates, this motorcycle has been meticulously maintained from new. The motorcycle is equipped with a special order police issue solo seat from Great Britain. Dual disks on the front and a single disk on the rear - new master cylinder. New westco battery, rebuilt carbs, tuned and sync'd, new valve covers, new valve cover gaskets, rebuilt petcocks, freshly powder coated snowflake wheels, new tires, new tubes, new handlebar switches. The 1000cc motor pulls strong and smooth with incredible torque. Gear change is smooth and precise. I have a complete set of panniers and chrome brackets available for the bike, these can be fitted at request. Having just had a major service, this BMW is ready to ride anywhere, fly in - ride home. The German manufacturer has produced five operational prototypes of the BMW C evolution scooter which will be showcased at various events around Europe to prepare for the launch of the serial production version. The BMW C evolution maintains many of the styling cues from the Concept e scooter unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show.

Mon, 27 Aug 2012The historic race first-ever World Superbike Championship round in Russia provided plenty of drama with several top riders crashing out of both races and a new leader emerge in the chase for the 2012 WSBK Championship. Superpole qualifying made for four different manufacturers lining up in the first row of the grid, with Carlos Checa taking pole position for Althea Ducati ahead of Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes, Aprilia‘s Eugene Laverty and BMW rider Leon Haslam. A slightly damp and unfamiliar track likely contributed to a number of crashes and collisions.
