BMW R-Series description
This Motorcycle has been in the family for about 26 years. It has about 36,000 miles and counting. I have the lower pieces to the fairing but I don't have the hardware. The lower pieces are still painted the original blue. This year the front brake master cylinder and one front brake caliper were replaced. The bike has a new clutch cable, Air filter and oil filter. the bike runs well. It could be a daily driver if needed. The rear shocks are Works Performance custom low shocks for someone about 5 foot 7 inches to ride comfortably. Saddle bags and fairing bags come with the bike. Brown side stand. This bike does have an electronic ignition witch may not be stock for this model.

BMW Quitting WSBK After 2013 Season
Wed, 24 Jul 2013BMW announced it will withdraw its factory support from the World Superbike Championship at the end of the 2013 season. According to BMW, the company will concentrate on its production models including the addition of new small-displacement models and reaching developing markets. BMW Motorrad will also shift resources to other motorsports activities such as supporting customer racing efforts in both international and domestic competitions.

Inline-six engines have a staple in BMW’s automobiles for decades and the German manufacturer’s motorcycle division took on the challenge of adapting the straight-six to a bike without making it too long or too wide. The result is the BMW Motorrad Concept 6, and an evolution BMW says “will further expand the K-Series in the foreseeable future”.
