BMW R-Series description

Engine is a 1975 R90 with the "sport" 336 camshaft, new high compression pistons, all new bearings, new bmw clutch, lightened flywheel, dual plug heads, dyna coils and electronic ignition, new battery, 32mm Mikuni carburators, deep sump oil pan. Odometer has stopped rolling over but speedo and tach work. Cobbled together reverse pattern shifter. Tires were new in 2008 and have less than 50 miles on them.

Bike was built for 2008 Bonneville salt flats speedweek as a 750. (Ran just over 120mph).  Bike was changed back to 900 with new 2nd oversize pistons and only started occasionally after engine brake-in since.  Charging system and most of wiring harness has been removed. Motorcycle is currently operating as a total loss system (electrically).

New 2.75 gear set installed (by BMW dealer) in differential. Motorcycle didn't have enough horsepower to pull 5th gear as a 750cc so was only used for 5 miles.

Still have original 1978 R100 engine with 90k miles partially disassembled but with the complete charging system. Also included is title and frame from 1981 R100, 1974 kickstart 5 speed transmission, 1975 transmission with clutch cable ear partially broken off, new sport handlebars, Wixom saddlebags, two factory seats in poor to fair condition, 750 cc pistons (4) and cylinders... lots of parts (see pics)
