I am selling my 1977 BMW R60/7 motorcycle. Had the bike about 6 years. New battery July,2016 New starter relay, new bosch plugs, removed and cleaned carbs. Bike cranks and runs good. Fresh gas in tank. Oil changed July 2016. All lights work, headlight, blinker, horn, brake light, parking light. Has one year old tires and tubes. Mufflers replaced two years ago. Odometer doesn't work correctly. BMW Design Chief David Robb Steps Down; Edgar Heinrich Named Successor
Mon, 30 Jan 2012David Robb, the man responsible for BMW‘s split-face motorcycle design, has left the German manufacturer. A native of Boston, Mass., Robb joined BMW as its design chief in 1993, and over the ensuing 18 years expanded the company’s product line to include the top selling R1200GS, the six-cylinder K1600GT and GTL, and the S1000RR superbike (that’s him on the far right in the picture above). The 56-year-old’s latest design to enter production are the C600 Sport and C650GT maxi-scooters.
’50s BMW Scooter Prototype to Star at 2012 Concours di Motociclette
Wed, 23 May 2012BMW is entering the scooter market this year with its C600 Sport and C650 GT maxi-scooters, but the German manufacturer almost entered the scooter segment nearly 60 years earlier. In the 1950s, BMW produced a pair of scooter prototypes it called the R10. The first prototype produced in 1953 was equipped with a 175cc Single producing about 8hp while the 1954 prototype (pictured above) was equipped with a 200cc producing about 10hp.
