BMW R-Series description

Here is a very nice 1973 BMW 750 cc 75/5 motorcycle. I had the motor completely rebuilt 3100 miles ago. This was done by Fresno BMW. This included; turned crankshaft, all new engine bearings, new stainless sleeves, new pistons, had bing carbs rebuilt, brakes services, new tires and had the speedometer rebuilt to document the mileage placed on bike after rebuild. Had paint done in a nice dark blue metal flake and blue pin striping. This is a very nice bike. The only issues I'm aware of are the the turn signals stopped working and when I looked behind the headlight and saw all the wires I thought this is a job for Fresno BMW.  Other than that everything works fine. Great cruising bike. Plan to return from wherever you go to, in comfort. It has the 4 speed transmission which I find more comfortable than the 5 speed. You're going 50 - 55 and relise it's time to shift into 4th. Nice smooth feel. Please email any questions. Thanks, myles

New naked BMW spotted on track days

Sat, 03 Sep 2016

The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben. Apparently, the Bavarian streetfighter will receive a number of technical solutions that his older brother, the BMW S1000RR, was endowed with a couple of years ago. Just as the current generation of the SR was created on the base of the previous SR-era, the 2017 modification will actually become a stripped version of today's sportbike.

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.
