BMW R-Series description

1969 BMW  R69S. The motorcycle  is all  original  with the large capacity fuel tank.  The bike has been owned by the current owner  for the last 40years and was just pulled out of long term indoor storage and  had the carbs cleaned,  oil changed and the battery replaced.  The bike starts,  runs and rides well.  The  head badge is missing.  Overall,  a nice original motorcycle. Deposit can be made through Paypal but full payment must be made with either cash or wire transfer.

2013 BMW F800GT Revealed in CARB and EPA Documents

Documents released by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the California Air Resources Board confirm the existence of a new member of BMW‘s F800 lineup, the F800GT. The 2013 BMW F800GT will likely be a more touring-oriented replacement for the F800ST (pictured above) which was conspicuously absent from the CARB document.

Tested: Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact

Mon, 15 Mar 2010

With its clever Interact technology Metzeler has created a tyre that has a varying carcass construction to alter how the rubber performs. Without going too deeply the M5 consists of five bands of belting that vary in stiffness. At the outer edges of the tyre the carcass is quite flexible, allowing the rubber to move around and generate more heat and therefore grip, while nearer the tyre’s centre the carcass is stiffer, reducing the rubber’s movement and decreasing its wear.
