BMW R-Series description

I am selling this bike for a friend/neighbor who does not have an Ebay account.

This is a pristine 1962 R 50  BMW.  It has been owned by a BMW collector for over 20 years.  It has had only three owner over it's life and all were friends who lived in Arizona. The bike has only 24K miles, all local Arizona miles.

The bike was resored about ten years ago by Iron Hourse BMW in Tucson, Arizona.  In the last 20 years it has only traveled about 1000 miles.  Recently the bike has received new Avon tires and stainless rims, new bearings and brakes, rebuilt Bing carbs, new Pagusa seats and the  tank was repainted and striped.  The bike was converted to 12 volts about one year ago.

I have personally ridden this bike and can state that it starts easily, and runs smooth and straight.   Everything works and there are no issues. One of the best R 50's around.

Motorcycle.com can now confirm that a Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX is on the way. Once again, homologation filings from Australia, where we first came across the evidence for the Versys 1100 are a font of knowledge.
