BMW R-Series description

BMW CRASH BARS / ENGINE GUARDS
Selling a nice set of crash bars. I took these off a 1960 R69. The chrome is in decent condition, minor scuffs. Very usable. Scuffs are on the bottom, not noticeable. Comes with original 4 clamps, the other two you will need are a standard u-bolt clamp that all hardware stores sell for about $2.00. Please do not ask for shipping quotes, this can vary so much, depending on if I'm shipping to Fla or Calif. I would guess that shipping and handling will be around  $40-$45. All of my items sold are BMW vintage related and I have 100% positive feedback so bid with confidence! Thanks and good luck!

Sportbike BMW S1000 RR received a turbocharger and almost 300

Fri, 06 Jan 2017

This formidable "bimmer" appears to have stylistic differences from the standard bike, although the main thing in it is not the design, it’s the technical stuffing. It turns the S1000 RR into a real rocket, dominating all the standard "1-litres". The master decided to increase the power and traction by installing a turbocharger!

On October 20, Bonhams will be auctioning off a collection of original illustrations by Bruce Smith from the 1960s and 1970s. Each one will be signed by Smith on heavy cartridge paper. The collection is comprised of cutaway illustrations of a 1963 Royal Enfield Interceptor 750cc, Chris Vincent’s 1964 BSA 650cc A65 Race Outfit, and a 1966 Greeves Racer, the largest of this series being 45cm x 62cm.

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.
