BMW Other description

2010 G650GS hardly driven at all at 1000 miles.  2010 Black Beauty.  Bought it at the end of 2010, so it is more like a 2011.  No flaws except 1 small scratch on right handlebar.  (When I took it out for the 1st time, I managed to lay it gently on it's side at my first turn.  It was like in slow motion, so the scratch is minor.  You can see it in the photo.  But no wrecks. And no off-road driving on it.  I wasn't experienced enough.  It will be like you're driving it off a "new" motorcycle lot. Yes, it seems too good to be true, but it is true.  I'm just never in LA, and haven't had the opportunity to drive it.  I don't want to sell it.  But it must be someone else's new baby now...  and pretty new it is!   A steal of a deal for someone who has been waiting for one.  Just had an overall check at dealership, and is still in perfect condition!

PS. Sorry for the only photo of it being me in it.  I wish I could provide better photos of the bike.  But I am traveling, and not in LA, and don't have access to my photos of the bike at this time.  Please just ask to see it in person if you are a serious buyer.

2009 BMW S1000RR Entering Production

Wed, 04 Feb 2009

We’re finally able to share some pictures and info about the production version of BMW’s new literbike, the S1000RR. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.

2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS Announced

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

BMW has updated its F800GS and introduced the F700GS which replaces the F650GS for the German manufacturer’s 2013 lineup. The 2013 BMW F800GS slots in under the R1200GS as the company’s mid-displacement adventure tourer while the F700GS is an entry-level model to the segment. Despite the nomenclature, both models are equipped with liquid-cooled and fuel-injected four-valve 798cc twin-cylinder engines, just like the 650.

2012-2013 BMW S1000RR Recalled for Loose Side Stands

Mon, 17 Dec 2012

BMW has initiated a recall on the 2012 and 2013 S1000RR because the side stands may not have been correctly installed. According to Transport Canada, the side stand attachment bolts may loosen, causing an S1000RR to fall over while resting on the stand. At the moment, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has yet to announce a recall, but American members of Motorcycle.com‘s S1000RR Forum say U.S.
