The bike came standard with ABS - switchable on/off, The Rotax designed engine is extremely smooth and quiet at 60mph. The bike has the remainder of the 3/36 warranty until 8/7/17. The ONLY reason I am selling this is a bike that I looked at six years ago is for sale and it would be an easy decision if I sold this first. Cash only sale, available for inspection. Bike is listed elsewhere. No warranty other than the manufacturers remaining warranty. Sold as is where is. Clear title. Low ball offers cheerfully ignored. BMW Produces 500,000th GS Boxer
Wed, 19 Mar 2014BMW‘s most important model reached an important milestone as the 500,000th boxer-engined GS rolled off the company’s production line in Berlin, Germany. The landmark liquid-cooled 2014 R1200GS follows a lineage half a million strong of flat-twin adventure tourers tracing back to the first R80G/S produced in 1980. “As a plant it is a privilege for us to continue building on the successful history of the legendary flat-twin GS,” says Marc Sielemann, head of the Berlin plant which produces the bulk of BMW’s motorcycles since 1969.
BMW Sells Husqvarna to Pierer Industrie AG
Thu, 31 Jan 2013The BMW Group has announced the sale of 110-year old Husqvarna Motorcycles to Austrian-based Pierer Industrie AG. “The BMW Group signed a purchase agreement with Pierer Industrie AG (Austria) for the acquisition of Husqvarna Motorcycles. The acquisition will proceed subject to approval by anti-trust authorities.
