Low suspension is now available as an option for the F 800 GS, too. So in conjunction with the low seat, this means it is possible to create a seat height of 32.3 inches - perfect for riders preferring a lower seat height. Meanwhile, ABS as standard, ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) and the optional ASC (automatic stability control, can be turned off) ensure the familiar degree of comfort and the necessary safety. John Surtees to Lead Classic Vehicle Parade Fundraiser

Motorsports legend John Surtees will lead a parade of classic cars and motorcycles – including Surtees’ 1960 500cc Grand Prix Championship-winning MV Agusta – in his home town of Edenbridge, England. Surtees is the only person to have ever won world championships in both Grand Prix motorcycle racing and Formula One, and the parade will feature cars and bikes from his time as both a racer and a racing team owner. Surtees himself will drive the Team Surtees TS7, a F1 car constructed by his own team that debuted at the 1970 British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch.

BMW Reports 2012 Sales Results

BMW released its year-end 2012 financial report, reporting revenues of 1.49 billion euros (US$1.93 billion) from its motorcycle business in 2012, up from 1.44 billion euros in 2011. The increased revenues came in a record year for BMW with the company selling an all-time record of 106,358 motorcycles in 2012. Despite the increase in sales revenue, BMW reported a much smaller profit from its motorcycle business, earning 9 million euros (US$11.6 million) in 2012, compared to 45 million euros in 2011.
