EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. BMW to Unveil Five New Models Including Electric Scooter Production Model

BMW announced it will unveil at least five new models over the next few months, starting with the production version of the C evolution electric scooter. BMW will likely reveal most of these new models at the 2013 EICMA Show in Milan in November but the new electric scooter will make its public debut tomorrow at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. “No fewer than five new models will be unveiled to the public in the coming months.

40-Day Motorcycle Ride for Breast Cancer Groups

Charlotte, N.C., writer and motorcycle adventurer Tamela Rich is heading out on a cross-country ride to raise money for breast cancer causes. Along her tour, Rich will meet with breast cancer survivors and interview them for her upcoming book, “Live Full Throttle: What You Can Learn About Life From Women Who’ve Faced Cancer”. This will be Rich’s second tour across the country.
