BMW Other description

2013 Bmw S 1000 RR, NOW IN STOCK! RIDE LIKE MARCO! - When we build a superbike, we have no time for second best. We now present the very latest in racing power. With an aluminum bridge, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colors and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance systems: The first Race ABS, including features such as four modes, two for the road and two others - Race and Slick - for sportier riding on the race track, a banking rotation speed, gear-related Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) which allows slip. Never before was it so easy to keep so much power under control. This is just as true on public roads as it is down on the racetrack. The RR label shows that it is a full-blooded racing bike, even though it can also be ridden with a number plate attached. To top it all off is an engine which is our absolute pride and joy. And our worldwide motorsports teams agree wholeheartedly.

Fisker + Lego = the Lauge Jensen Viking Cruiser Concept

Thu, 17 Apr 2014

What do you get when you bring together the designer of the Fisker Karma and the great-grandson of the founder of Lego? The answer is this cruiser concept model by Danish brand Lauge Jensen called the Viking. The company was formed in 2004 by bike builder Uffe Lauge Jensen but later sold to industrialist Anders Kirk Johansen, the scion of one of Denmark’s wealthiest families and great-grandson of Ole Kirk Christiansen who invented Lego building blocks.

Long Way Round camerman tests ebike in London rush hour

Fri, 26 Mar 2010

WE'RE MORE USED to seeing him busting a gut on a fully-kitted BMW R1150GS, so testing a silent, non-emission electric motorcycle must have been a weird experience for 'Long Way Round' cameraman Claudio Von Planta. The clip gives a great impression of how a first-generation ebike copes with London's traffic two-up.

WSBK 2012: Assen Results

Mon, 23 Apr 2012

The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick.
