WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. New naked BMW spotted on track days

Sat, 03 Sep 2016

The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben. Just as the current generation of the SR was created on the base of the previous SR-era, the 2017 modification will actually become a stripped version of today's sportbike.

Ohlins Issues Recall Notice For BMW S1000RR And R1200R Steering Dampers

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

Ohlins is issuing a recall notice for select aftermarket steering dampers for the BMW S1000RR and R1200R. The company believes the bracket holding the damper in place to be improperly machined, and a probable material defect in the aluminum alloy could cause stress fractures. Ohlins states that although “there is no risk for losing control during normal riding,” there is a risk the bracket will fail during slow-speed maneuvers, where the bars are turned at maximum steering angle.
