When we build a superbike, we have no time for second best. We now present the very latest in racing power. With an aluminum bridge, radial brakes, a super sporty tail-up nose-down design, hot colors and the ultimate combination of electronic rider assistance systems: the first genuine racing ABS, whose features include a front-wheel-only mode, dynamic traction control (DTC) which permits varying degrees of slip, depending on the lean angle. The more the rider hangs off, the more upright the bike and the longer the lines on leaving the curve. Never before was it so easy to keep so much power under control. This is just as true on public roads as it is down on the racetrack. The RR label shows that it is a full-blooded racing bike, even though it can also be ridden with a number plate attached. Wed, 10 Jul 2024Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

Wed, 25 Sep 2013The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
BMW Set Single Month Sales Record in April 2013 – New R1200GS Represents 27.7% of Sales Volume
Mon, 13 May 2013BMW announced it set a new company all-time sales record for a single month, delivering 14,587 motorcycles to customers in April 2013. That represents an 11.5% increase from the 13,088 motorcycles sold in April 2012. The record month helped push BMW‘s overall sales over the first four months to 39,319 motorcycles and scooters, a 5.0% increase from the 13,088 units sold in the same period of 2012.
