2007 BMW R 1200 GS, 2007 BMW R1200GS: This great 12GS has been my reliable companion on many road/camping trips and is more than ready for your adventures! Well maintained, just had all the fluids replaced at the dealer. I only run premium gas and put in a fresh AGM battery in June. This 12GS has two small issues. The fuel sensor is out and won't read the fuel level. I just use the Odometer Trip to monitor my mileage. I had a 0mph tip-over at a campground and there is minor scuffs and scrapes on the engine guard, hand protector and turn signal indicator. BMW Unveils E-Scooter Concept

As we expected BMW has revealed information about a new scooter model, releasing pictures of a new electric maxi-scooter concept. The BMW E-Scooter was developed with funding form Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development.The E-Scooter was created with two goals in mind: to offer performance comparable to a 600cc combustion engine-powered maxi-scooter and to offer sufficient range for an urban commuter. BMW wanted the E-Scooter to provide enough power and speed for freeway passing and climbing steep slopes even with a pillion passenger.

The annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este usually features some of the world’s most beautiful classic cars, but this year’s show had a special exhibit celebrating the 90th anniversary of BMW Motorrad. More than 6,000 people visited the BMW Group-organized Concorso d’Eleganza on the shore of Italy’s Lake Como. The BMW Motorrad exhibit featured some of the company’s most notable motorcycles spanning 90 years of history including the original BMW R32 that started it all in 1923.

Although the one pictured doesn’t look that worn it’s a recent replacement for the one I’ve been using ever since I passed my test two years ago. The previous incarnation met its fate in Africa at the hands of a knobbly tyre and chain. It has been in constant use this summer.
