2006 BMW R1200GS Adventure - This GS Adventure is loaded and ready to ride. With only 5k miles it is barely even broken in yet. This GSA is fully loaded with factory options including : Black Spoke Wheels, Heated handlebar grips, Upper and Lower Crash Bars, Cylinder Head Covers, Adjustable Windshield, Adjustable Driver Seat, Aluminum Skidplate, Handguards, Front Beak Extender, Oversize Footpegs, etc. This GS Adventure comes with BMW Vario Saddlebags, standard GS rear luggage rack and PIAA driving lamps. It just got a complete service so it is completely ready to ride. This GSA was ordered without ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM so it would function better off road. Charley Boorman’s BMW R1200 GS Adventure Stolen – and Recovered
Fri, 27 Apr 2012Adventure touring documentary star Charley Boorman and his BMW R1200GS Adventure have traveled a long way together, but the motorcycle had a bit of an adventure on its own after thieves stole the bike. The stolen BMW wasn’t the one Boorman rode with Ewen McGregor in “Long Way Round” (that was a R1150GS Adventure) or the one used in the sequel “Long Way Down“. Boorman did ride it on his last project, “Charley Boorman’s Extreme Frontiers: Canada”.
2007-2008 BMW K1200R, K1200S Recalled for Foaming Brake Fluid
Tue, 16 Oct 2012BMW is issuing a recall on the 2007-2008 K1200S, K1200R and K1200R Sport models due to a problem with the front brake hydraulics. In long rides at high rpms, engine vibrations may cause the full front brake fluid to foam. This would occur at a very narrow rev range and only when the brake fluid reservoir is filled to maximum.
