But when a nice ribbon of asphalt opens us, it’s time to test the tachometer. As the high-octane offspring of BMW’s best sport and touring concepts, the R 1200 ST offers both premium comfort and plenty of power. Equipped with the proven Paralever and Telelever suspension systems, the R 1200 ST has an easily adjustable windshield, seat, and handlebars and in just a few minutes you can go from an upright touring posture to a crouched-down, road-ready sprinter’s stance. Whether you’re half way through a 600-mile marathon or streaking down the final stretch the R 1200 ST sets a pace your heart rate will have trouble keeping up with.
