Most recent major service done at Bob's BMW. Synthetic oils since 6K. Extras include: Heated Gripes, ABS, Motolights, HyperLites in back, Oil Filler Plug, Magnetic Drain Plug, BMW GPS (Garmin Street Pilot III) and numerous Wunderlich upgrades including: Ergo Windscreen and Leg Protectors (great for colder weather riding), Oil Cooler Guard, Brake Lever Enlarger and Blue Air Filter. Reigning World Superbike Champion Tom Sykes put on a clinic this weekend, leading every lap in both races to claim a pair of wins at Spain’s Motorland Aragon circuit. Sykes’ Kawasaki teammate Loris Baz was right there with him, recording a pair of second-place podiums to give Team Green a pair of one-two finishes. Sykes and Baz were also one-two in the Superpole qualifying on this nearly flawless weekend for the Kawasaki factory team.

BMW Names Schaller New Head of Motorcycle Development

BMW has appointed Karl Viktor Schaller as its new head of BMW Motorrad development. Schaller will replace Christian Landerl who headed motorcycle development since November 2008. Schaller studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Munich before becoming a scientific assistant at the research institute for gear wheels and gear manufacturing.

BMW Reports Q3 2012 Results

BMW reported a new company record for third quarter motorcycle sales, selling 26,755 BMW motorcycles in the quarter ended Sept. 30, 2012. The record result is a 1.7% increase over the 26,312 units sold in the third quarter of 2011.
