2003 BMW R 1200 C, Integral ABS, CD Player, AM/FM Radio, heated seats and handlebars, lockable saddlebags, removable top-case, chrome engine guards and cruise control. Amazingly low 25,400 miles, the vast majority of which were spent on the highway. Has always been garaged and meticulously maintained - always taken to BMW for service and has had all scheduled maintenance. The only defect is one small area (about 2-3 inches in diameter) on the front fairing that was scratched when the bike was laid down at 0 mph and crash guards were on at the time. It was touched up with a close matching paint so it doesn't stand out very much. Other than that the bike is in perfect condition. KBB has it at $7,215 retail, with an expected 50K miles on the odometer. This bike's mileage is half that and is in great condition. We're selling it for $5500 because we need the money for a new car. Seriously buyers only please. 2014 BMW R nineT Production Begins
Tue, 03 Dec 2013The first production models of the BMW R nineT roadster have rolled off the assembly line in Berlin. The R nineT is a special model for BMW, representing the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle industry, so it’s no surprise the start of production was made with much fanfare. BMW invited 100 guests including the team from German customization studio Urban Motor to watch assembly of the first three units of the R nineT including the final dynamometer testing where more than 1,000 different parameters are measured before a motorcycle can be released.
EICMA 2012: BMW F800GT Announced as Replacement for F800ST
Tue, 13 Nov 2012As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.
