2002 Bmw K 1200 LT, BMW - Buffeted from the weather by a wind-tunnel tested fairing which directs turbulence behind you, the sleek, sexy K 1200LT provides surprising comfort and performance, even to seasoned riders. Whether you’re listening to the wind whistle by or playing a theme song to your journey on the 8-speaker sound system, the miles keep rolling by giving you no reason to even think of home. Like a royal chariot drawn by 100 horses, the K1200 LT doesn’t sacrifice performance for comfort any more than a rider is willing to give up a moment of the ride. You’ll have 85lb-ft of torque firing from an engine with virtually no vibration. Comfort (heated grips) and capacity (up to a 500lb load) will keep you on the road as long as you want. Add to this the security of BMW’s ABS II and an electronic reverse gear and you’ll have no reason to ever head back.

Hero MotoCorps Hires Ex-BMW Designer Braunsperger
Mon, 25 Aug 2014Hero MotoCorp has hired former BMW designer Markus Braunsperger to lead the Indian company’s research and development division. Braunsperger once held a similar position with BMW in the early 2000s, developing models such as the K1200S before moving on to BMW’s automobile division where he helped design the 5, 6 and 7 series sedans as well as the X3, X5 and X7 SUVs. Braunsperger will head Hero’s new R&D center in Rajasthan, India, starting in October.
