BMW Other description
1977 Bmw R100RS, The R100RS aka "The One That Started It All" - One of the most sought after models in the history of BMW is certainly the 1977 R100RS. The unit we are offering has had but two owners. The bike was first sold on 8/07/77 here in California. The second owner bought it in November of 1979 until he recently sold it to us. The bike had been meticulously maintained over the years and serves as a testimony to its prior owner's care and diligence. Staying on top of the various tasks is in evidence every where you look. Upon our purchase of this bike, we had our mechanic go through it from front to back in a very thorough fashion. To ready the bike for its next owner, we gave it a full annual inspection, a brake flush, replaced all the fluids, re-sealed the cylinders, installed new fuel lines, and hand grips so it is fully ready to go. A new set of tires will be included in this sale, (of the brand and style the buyer chooses). We took lots of photos of this bike but seeing it in person is always preferred if possible. We have the owner's booklet, extra keys and lots of records about this amazing R100RS.

2009 BMW S1000RR Entering Production
Wed, 04 Feb 2009We’re finally able to share some pictures and info about the production version of BMW’s new literbike, the S1000RR. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.
BMW S1000RR at Nürburgring [video]
Wed, 02 Sep 2009BMW’s new S1000RR is one of the mostly highly anticipated sportbikes to come along in years. Its four-cylinder motor has a larger bore than anything else in its 1000cc class, plus all the latest racetrack goodies like a slipper clutch, variable-height intake manifolds and traction control. We’re still a few months away from testing it for ourselves, but we can across this great video that will give you a little insight into how this Beemer howls at top speed.
