According to an announcement from the Superbike Commission which sets the regulations for production-based racing, the 300 class will be replaced by a new entry-level series for 2026 and beyond. Though Husqvarna is calling the supermoto-styled Strada a concept, but the new model is near production ready, with Husqvarna expecting to begin sales in 2012, possibly as a 2013 model.
