BMW K-Series description

2005 BMW - K1200S - Indigo Blue

Approximately 6900 miles (will gradually increase as I will continue to ride the bike until sold)

Outstanding condition - no significant blemishes anywhere - always garaged.

I am the second owner.

Michelin Pilot Road 2 tires which have approximately 50% of life left.

Never been down or wrecked. Adult ridden by myself and previous owner.....no stunts, stoppies, wheelies, etc.

Bike is fully loaded with the following options: ABS, Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA), Heated grips, Tinted Windscreen, BMW center stand, TechSpec snake skin tank grips, extra key.

All service performed at Engles here in KC aside from an oil change performed by the previous owner. All recalls have been performed on the bike. I have all service documents.

The bike recently underwent a fairly extensive service/inspection at the BMW dealer. I had them perform the following:

Change engine oil/filter
Flush front and rear brake system and replace fluid
Flush ABS control circuit
Change final drive oil
Placement of BMW cam chain jump guard - this protects against any potential cam chain jump.
Complete inspection

This is a very nice bike and needs nothing.

Free and clear title in hand.

KBB average for this bike in the this area is $7670 and NADA is $8025. Note....they don't factor in the low mileage of the bike.

I have the original sales sheet for the bike......MSRP was $17,695 with the above listed options.

****LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.  CASH ONLY.  NO SHIPPING, NO ESCROW, NO PAYPAL, NO THIRD PARTY SALES****

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.  I'll do my best to answer them.

Thank You!

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

The R1200RT has gone liquid cooled, inheriting the new boxer engine with BMW’s “precision cooling” technology from the new R1200GS. But that’s not all that’s changed on the RT as Editor-in-Chief Kevin Duke points out in the video below from the 2013 EICMA show floor. With a new K1600GT-inspired look, more power and a number of factory-installed options, one of our favorite touring bikes is better than ever.   Get the Flash Player to see this player.

After catching early leader James Hillier of the Quattro Plant Kawasaki team on the opening lap, Dunlop continued to set an impressive first lap time of 17:11.107, which translates to a record average speed of 131.730 mph on the 37.73-mile Mountain Course.

Gesture-controlled Audi wins VDA Design Award

Wed, 25 Sep 2013

The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) has announced the winner of its 2013 Design Awards, which asked students from across the world to submit their final graduating projects completed between October 2011 and July 2013. Eric Leong from Sweden's Umeå Institute of Design, came in first place with his 'Audi Elite' project, earning himself €4,000. Leong's single-person vehicle can be controlled using the entire body through gestures and movements, and adapts to the needs of the driver, giving them more control.
