1991 BMW K75s This bike is a great survivor.  It is far from a show bike, but a good, well-maintained driver.  I have owned the bike for about 5 years and put about 5000 miles on it. These bikes are rare, smooth sport touring machines and are very reliable.  They have aluminum fuel tanks so no worries about rust in the fuel system.  They are shaft drive and fuel-injected.  It always starts at the push of the button.  Tires are Metzler Lasers and are in good shape. This bike has had regular oil changes and air filter replacements.  I am not sure how accurate the odometer is as far as original miles, but it works.  As I said, the paint is not perfect and the Corbin seat shows wear, but it is a special old BMW that needs to be passed to another good home.

2008 BMW K1200S, 23,900 miles, clear title.  All maintenance & service done local at Gina’s BMW in Iowa City, IA, have all service records and receipts.  I am the 2nd owner, I bought it 3 years ago from an employee at Gina’s BMW.  Previous owner and I both adults with plenty of riding experience.  Bike is in very good condition, and has never been dropped or laid down.  It is always garage kept, on front and rear stands, and a battery tender.  This bike is great for long trips, even 2-up with luggage, or short and aggressive riding on twisty roads.  It has factory keyed (same as ignition) BMW expandable hard saddle bags, as well as the extra BMW factory rear luggage rack.  This bike is EXTREMELY fast, and is not a bike for beginners; 1,157cc (dry sump), 150+ hp, 6 sp, shaft-drive.  I have added a waterproof USB port, Remus Powercone exhaust, and K&N air filters.  Tires are Michelin Pilot Pure.  Factory ABS, and adjustable rear suspension.  I also have a digital service manual on CD.  Additional pictures and/or information available upon request.  Brand new BMW battery purchased and installed 10AUG13

  • BMW K1200LT - Great Condition LOW MILES - 50 MPGBMW K1200LT - Great Condition LOW MILES - 50 MPG (1999)
BMW K 1200 LT MOTORCYCLE – LOW MILES – NO RESERVE For sale is a 1999 BMW K 1200 LT in Very Good Condition.    I am selling all of my bikes, because I am getting older and don’t get out that often.  I have owned 7 bikes, and this one is by far my favorite.   It easily handles two passengers and all of the luggage you can handle.   I purchased this bike 5+ years ago, and have probably put an average of 600 miles on it per year.   The tires and brakes are in excellent shape and working condition.   The hard cases are in great shape and perfect working condition. I have taken excellent care of this bike, which has been garaged and covered when not in use.   I have also changed the oil and filters regularly.   Also included, are all of the items needed for the next service (oil, oil filter, oil filter tool, and air filter).  I am also including a newer cover to shield the bike from dust and the elements.  This bike is in the exact same condition that I purchased it.  There are several markings on the bike that most people don’t notice.   When I purchased the bike, I was making aware the cruise control occasionally disengages.    Although this has happened a handful of times, it has never been enough of an issue to warrant attention (see last pictures).    As NOTED ABOVE, EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE BIKE IS IN PERFECT WORKING ORDER. Engine and transmission Displacement: 1171.00 ccm (71.45 cubic inches) Engine type: In-line four, four-stroke Power: 98.00 HP (71.5 kW)) @ 7000 RPM Torque: 115.00 Nm (11.7 kgf-m or 84.8 ft.lbs) @ 4750 RPM Top speed: 198.0 km/h (123.0 mph) 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph): 4.600 seconds 60-140 km/h (37-87 mph), highest gear: 16.500 seconds Compression: 10.8:1 Bore x stroke: 70.5 x 75.0 mm (2.8 x 3.0 inches) Cooling system: Liquid Gearbox: 5-speed Transmission type, final drive: Shaft drive (cardan) Fuel consumption: 0.62 litres/100 km (161.3 km/l or 379.39 mpg) Greenhouse gases: 14.4 CO2 g/km.

Question of the Day: Single-sided or Double-Sided Swingarms

Tue, 06 Aug 2024

The classic form versus function debate A couple of weeks ago, Ducati pulled the covers off its seventh-generation superbike, the 2025 Panigale V4 and V4 S. The new Panigale introduced a number of changes to the engine, chassis and electronics, aimed at pushing the performance envelope even further. There was one particular change that we knew was going to be polarizing: the change from a single-sided swingarm to a double-sided swingarm.

2024 BMW F 900 GS Review – First Ride

Fri, 12 Jul 2024

The middleweight GS gets a significant performance boost Despite having been around the longest, BMW’s middleweight machines haven’t been leading the pack since the current adventure craze took off. As of late, the F 800/850 haven’t been top of the performance heap on-road or off. BMW aims to change that with its all-new F 900 GS.

The 390 Adventure Project – Upgrades and Adjustments

Wed, 10 Jul 2024

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

MV Agusta Chairman Hubert Trunkenpolz Interview – Part One

Wed, 26 Jun 2024

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
