1991 BMW K75s This bike is a great survivor. It is far from a show bike, but a good, well-maintained driver. I have owned the bike for about 5 years and put about 5000 miles on it. These bikes are rare, smooth sport touring machines and are very reliable. They have aluminum fuel tanks so no worries about rust in the fuel system. They are shaft drive and fuel-injected. It always starts at the push of the button. Tires are Metzler Lasers and are in good shape. This bike has had regular oil changes and air filter replacements. I am not sure how accurate the odometer is as far as original miles, but it works. 1991 K1000RS BMW Motorcycle (1991)
I'm relisting with a lower opening bid and no reserve; I've got three bikes now and room for only two. This has been a really good bike but I needed to upgrade to more carrying capacity and I wanted cruise. I've owned it it about 4 years; the only work it's needed is to replace the fork seals. I also replaced both master cylinders and all the brake lines and pads when the lines started swelling. Fluids are changed on schedule, bike is kept under cover in a climate controlled garage when not in use. No leaks ever. Less than 1,000 miles on new Metzlers front and back. Ridden conservatively by a mature rider. This bike has never left me stranded or done anything except what it was supposed to do. It's a delight to ride on short trips. Pearlescent white paint shines and looks good but does have the expected imperfections of 22 years. I get a lot of positive comments about the overall looks of the bike. All of the paint is original and the bike has never been dropped or wrecked as far as I can tell. I like the Corbin Gunfighter seat (very firm) and my wife likes the flip-up backrest. Priced to sell! The Original BMW Superbike BMW’s break with its air-cooled tradition started in 1982 when it introduced the K100, their first inline liquid cooled four cylinder production motorcycle. In September 1988, after continuous development, the company announced the upgraded, fully faired K1. While based on the K100, the new K1 was in fact a different animal altogether. The K1 received the new four-valve cylinder head (BMW’s first-ever 16 valve motor) and an improved Bosch fuel injection system making it, at 100hp, the most powerful production bike that the company had ever built. The K1 was designed as a high speed autobahn tourer capable of cruising at 100 mph for hours on end. Early tests on the bike measured performance times of 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 140 mph. The K1 also received BMW’s new Paralever swingarm (which helped to eliminate the rise and fall from acceleration and deceleration common to shaft-driven motorbikes). All US bound K1’s were made standard with BMW’s ABS braking system. In addition, four-piston Brembo calipers on the K1 replaced the K100’s twin units up front along with a thicker rear rotor. The K1’s frame, while similar to the K100, was also strengthened substantially with larger diameter tubing and slightly revised geometry along with a longer wheelbase to improve stability at higher speeds. In addition, much of the bike’s characteristic high-speed calm was thanks to the K1’s unique bodywork. The wind-tunnel-tested fairing was measured to have the lowest drag coefficient of any production motorcycle to date. Built from 1988 to 1993, only 6,912 K1’s were sold worldwide. Still , the bike was a marketing success as it helped to shift public perception of BMW from a manufacturer of reliable tourers to a producer of modern high-speed sport bikes. I have owned this motorcycle since 2006. It was sold by San Jose BMW new in 1992. This is the low seat model. What this means is that the seat is about an inch lower than the standard model. I am 6' 1" with a 32 inch inseam I don't feel that it is too low. Actually higher than my Road King seat. As far as I can tell I am the third owner. (Seller didn't speak much English) The bike presently has 52,492 miles on it. The bike is equipped with a smoked GIVI windshield and a rear backrest/luggage rack. Since I have owned it, the water/oil pump and the heated grips have been replaced by SJ BMW. I replaced the battery and the starter relay in 2007. The bike is always kept on a battery tender and stored in my garage when not being ridden. The rear shock and front fork springs have been replaced with Progressive units. The original Slingshot debuted in 2015 and just received some updates for 2025, but somehow, the red, black and white color scheme with teal highlights makes me think back even further to old Transformers toys from the '80s. The livery is primarily a Radiant Red Pearl similar to a color offered on the original Slingshot, with Black Metallic, white for contrast and teal highlights with ghosted graphics.

He did so after swiftly coming to grips with the humungous torque and massive bulk of the factory Indian Challenger he rode to the title. But Herfoss, 38, was also a contender in the KOTB’s sidebar series, the 10-race Super Hooligan National Championship, in which he shocked the MA paddock by winning the opening round, and his first race ever at the Daytona International Speedway, aboard another Indian factory V-Twin, the leaner, lighter FTR1200.
