BMW K-Series description

3 time Cycle world best touring bike winner. Has the premium package with adaptive lighting, electronic suspension controls, optional driving lights and more. Currently has GT seat on it as it sits higher than the stock seat did as I am a little long legged. Also comes with stock seat.  I have added Wunderlich engine and body protectors which give a lot of protection. Also outboard helmet locks. Overall very good condition with several minor chips from the road as would be normally encountered. 12,205 miles with tires replaced around 10,000. Thanks for looking.

2012 BMW C600 Sport and C650GT Scooter Preview

Over the past four years, the German company has nearly doubled its 500cc-plus market share from about 7% to 13%, and the 2011 model year is on pace to set a sales record of more than 103,000 motorcycles. For 2012, BMW enters the lucrative scooter segment with a pair of twin-cylinder maxi-scoots claimed to combine the agility and comfort of a scooter with the riding qualities of a motorcycle.

To my eyes, the GS does a fine job of maintaining a traditional dirtbike’s minimalist appearance, minus those bulging cylinders protruding from either end. But now more than ever, thanks to the introduction of liquid-cooling, the GS is a modern marvel of mechanical and electrical engineering.

The Taylormade Brough Superior racebike will make its Moto2 racing debut at the British Grand Prix at the U.K.’s Silverstone circuit. Backed by insurance company Bennetts, the one-off entry will feature British Supersport racer Luke Mossey riding the Taylormade Carbon 2 racebike. Led by California-based but British-bred Paul Taylor and John Keogh, the Taylormade project was started to rethink the spark the impending relaunch of the Brough Superior brand as well as to explore new ways of designing prototype race machines.
