BMW K-Series description

K1600GTL with only 4,800 miles.  Bike is pictured without side cases, but they are included.  This bike had every option available to it with the exception of navigation.  It does have the iphone connection kit.
If you are like me and do not like the idea of buying a motorcycle other than new and not knowing it's history, rest assured I did my best to keep this bike like new.  It has always been garage kept, coat of wax on the paint with leather and plastics treated as well.  I just picked the bike up from the BMW dealer where I had an engine service performed at about $500 and all warranty work, mostly software updates were brought up to date.  There was also an issue found with the fuel pump in the tank, not sure what would cause it to fail, but there's a new $500 part in there for the bike as well.  I am an engineer and like to maintain my things properly so again this bike is in very good condition.
My address is listed as Fernandina Beach, but I am actually 5 miles inland and there are no signs of rust on the bike.  Title is clear and in my name

BMW HP4 Gets New ABS that Works in Corners

Fri, 18 Jul 2014

BMW has developed a new anti-lock braking system designed to work when a motorcycle is leaned over into a corner. The new ABS Pro system will initially be offered as a retrofit upgrade on the BMW HP4 sportbike, but it’s likely only a matter of time before the technology becomes available on other models. The ABS Pro uses the same sensors already employed by BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control and Dynamic Damping Control electronic suspension, both of which are already available on the HP4.

Tested: Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact

Mon, 15 Mar 2010

With its clever Interact technology Metzeler has created a tyre that has a varying carcass construction to alter how the rubber performs. Without going too deeply the M5 consists of five bands of belting that vary in stiffness. At the outer edges of the tyre the carcass is quite flexible, allowing the rubber to move around and generate more heat and therefore grip, while nearer the tyre’s centre the carcass is stiffer, reducing the rubber’s movement and decreasing its wear.
