BMW K-Series description

This 2008 BMW K1200S is equipped with a liquid-cooled, 165 HP, 1157 cc inline 4, 4-stroke, fuel injected engine and shaft drive.  This Super-Sport Touring motorcycle is fast, agile and very comfortable.  The bike is in near flawless condition and has been garaged for the life of the bike.  The bike comes with the added features of a Sargent Cafe seat, Two Brothers carbon fiber exhaust pipe, BMW sport touring bags, and a BMW luggage rack.  OEM seat and pipe are included in the sale at no extra charge.  The bike has new tires (less than 500 miles) and new battery and was professionally serviced at 18,000 miles.  The bike has been well maintained and has never been dropped or wrecked in any way. BMW is entering the scooter market this year with its C600 Sport and C650 GT maxi-scooters, but the German manufacturer almost entered the scooter segment nearly 60 years earlier. In the 1950s, BMW produced a pair of scooter prototypes it called the R10. The first prototype produced in 1953 was equipped with a 175cc Single producing about 8hp while the 1954 prototype (pictured above) was equipped with a 200cc producing about 10hp.

BMW “Persistent Erection” Lawsuit Dismissed

The Superior Court of San Francisco has dismissed lawsuits against BMW and Corbin-Pacific Inc. brought on by a man who claimed a motorcycle ride gave him an erection that lasted for several months. The story made headlines and drew much ridicule after the man said vibrations from his 1993 BMW K1100RS and Corbin aftermarket seat resulted in a case of priapism, a condition in which a penis remains erect for a prolonged period of time.
