Want a bike that will run right up there with the fastest street bikes and you can still sit on for 8 hrs? Here you go. I've had this bike since 2010
The bike is in good shape overall. The previous owner dropped it in the garage and scratched the tranny cover and handlebar end. It also broke the lower plastic fairing which was repaired and has given me no issues. The tires have about 1K of miles left in them. The bike will likely need a battery at this point as it has been sitting. Last I put a charger on it and it fired right up. It is due for a valve check, spark plugs, and two dealer recall services. This bike does have a mild case of the dreaded second gear issue common to these bikes. If you are looking at one and it has not been repaired, the seller is likely not being honest with you. This one only has symptoms under hard acceleration in second. If you are kind to second gear, I see no reason why you could not continue to ride as is. I personally changed the oil last and cut open the filter, finding no metal chips or excessive wear. THE SADDLE BAGS HAVE BEEN SOLD. Ask questions! BMW Reports Q3 2011 Results

The German manufacturer sold 28,862 units over the quarter, including 26,312 BMW-branded motorcycles and 2,550 units from its Husqvarna subsidiary.
