BMW K-Series description

If you are looking for a well maintained LT, This could be your bike. Here is a short list of recent service 60,380 miles at :
Final Drive service with GL5 85-140
Transmision Service with GL5 85-140
New Titanium spark plugs
EBC Brakes front

Very recent service:
New Rear tire 67,397 (398 miles )
Oil and filter 67, 246 with Bosch premium filter
New AGM Battery October 2016 ( one month )

This bike has many high end accessories, too many to list. Here are a few of the biggies:

1] Ohlins Performance shocks front and rear. If you have not driven an LT with Ohlins, you will be astounded by the improvement. Ask anyone who has them. Its a $2500 deal but well worth it. The machine handles like it is on steroids. Tight and no LT wallowing in the twisties.

2] Piaa Driving lamps mounted in the PROPER location with frame brackets. Not mounted on brake calipers as many do.

3] BMR
rack. If you ride , single up , long distance...nuff said. Easily removable by hand when you have a passenger.

4] Kuryakyn Passenger armrests

5] RUSSELL DAY LONG SEAT. This is , hands down, the best LT seat you can buy. I never chince on a good seat. BMW does not know how to build one yet.

6] Centech AP-1 fuse box. Great way to manage electrical add-ons like PIAA lights, etc.

This is my third LT. When you build them up right, they are a pleasure to ride. I am primarily a long distance tourer, so I like a larger bike that I can sit on for hours comfortably. My longest day was 1236 miles. DO the math !! :-) The LT never complains. If you are a serious LT buyer, you will see quickly what I have here. I hope I can show you one of the best LD bikes out there.

Reserve BELOW KBB. All of the high end accesories are basically free. Best of luck bidding.

Will the road-going RCV look like this?

Thu, 25 Oct 2012

Honda announced in a dry-as-you-like press release that a new bike was coming.  Not another motorcycle-cum-medical aid like the DN-01 or Integra, this is going to be a proper bike. A bike in a similar vein to previous bikes in the RC series, the RC30, RC45 and RC51, aimed squarely at winning races. So what's it going to look like?

BMW C650GT and C600 Sport Recalled for Faulty Timing Chain Tensioner

Tue, 27 May 2014

BMW has initiated a recall on 2012-2014 C600 Sport and C650GT scooters because of a problem with their timing chain tensioners. As of this writing, recalls have been announced in Canada and Germany but not for the U.S., though we expect the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will announce a similar recall shortly.

WSBK 2013: Assen Race Report

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

Tom Sykes earned his first win of the 2013 season and came a hair short of a double victory at the World Superbike Championship round at Assen in the Netherlands. Traditionally a fast starter and qualifier, Sykes started on the pole once again at Assen and had strong starts in both races. But unlike the first two rounds where he started strong before fading, the Kawasaki factory rider was able to remain at the front in both races at Assen and earn some valuable championship points.
