Battery is 4 years old. Has Corbin heated seats with back rest. The original factory heated seats are included. I have a matching Corbin Smuggler that is not included in this auction but is available separately. Has BMW Motorrad Navigator IV mounting system installed. GPS is not included in this auction but available separately. A direct plug-in charging port for a battery tender added next to accessory plug. Other items are Motolights and air horn, both powered through a Centech AP1 fuse panel located under rear seat. Nice bike, fast and fun. Ready to go. BMW Recalls 4,453 Motorcycles and Scooters for Side Stand Switch Problem
Thu, 13 Mar 2014BMW has initiated a recall on several motorcycle and scooter models because of a problem with the side stand switches failing in wet conditions. The recall affects 4,453 vehicles from the 2013 model year including the C600 Sport and C650GT scooters, F700GS, F800GS, F800GS Adventure, F800GT, R1200R and R1200GS. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, water may enter the side stand switch on affected vehicles from riding in wet conditions or even from vigorous washing.
BMW Reports 14% Sales Increase in US in 2012
Thu, 03 Jan 2013BMW reported sales of 12,057 motorcycles in the U.S. in 2012, representing a 14.0% increase on the 10,572 units sold in 2011. Leading the way was the S1000RR, with BMW selling 1,934 of the sportbikes this year.
BMW Reports Q2 2013 Results – 15.5% Increase Produces Record Quarter
Thu, 01 Aug 2013BMW reported a record second quarter with sales of 40,209 motorcycles for the three months ended June 30, 2013. The quarter saw a year-on-year increase of 15.5% from sales of 34,816 motorcycles reported in 2012. For the year to date, BMW has sold 64,941 motorcycles, also a record for first half sales in the company’s 90 years in the motorcycle business (those numbers however do include 1,110 Husqvarna motorcycles sold in the first quarter before the brand was acquired by Pierer Industries.) The record half comes in the face of a worldwide decline of 7.1% for motorcycles 500cc and larger over the first six months.
