If you are looking at this motorcycle you already realize what a tremendously powerful
and rare piece of Bavarian machinery you are looking at.
Fast and sleek, don't let the weight fool you, this bike rides like a 400lb sport bike. 0-60 in 2.6 sec.
Low miles-6925, I am the second owner. The black and yellow color scheme is unusual and always gets compliments.
The tires and Michelin Pilot 3's and they are great all purpose, rain tires. They still have a lot of tread.
I have documentation of all service and recall repairs. The timing chain and guide have been updated along with the fuel sensor
to the tune of $623.00.When I purchased this bike in 2/12 it had undergone a 95 point inspection, had all fluids flushed and changed
and on 4/13 I had the oil and filter changed. I still have a transferable warranty through 2/15 ($50.00 fee through XTRA RIDE POWERSPORTS).
This is a great bike that has just started its journey and with so few miles it is practically like a new bike for a fraction of the cost.
Never been dropped or crashed. Some scuffs from going through doorways (cracked right mirror) pictured.

IIHS Asks NHTSA to Make ABS Brakes Mandatory for All Street-legal Motorcycles in US
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and the Highway Loss Data Institute have submitted a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration petitioning in favor of making anti-lock brakes mandatory for all new on-highway motorcycles. The letter, addressed to David Strickland, NHTSA administrator, included a recent IIHS study on the effects of ABS on motorcycle fatal crash rates. The report found ABS technology reduces the rate of fatal crashes by 31%, while collision claim rates were 20% lower with ABS-equipped motorcycles.

To mark the anniversary, BMW revealed special edition “90 Jahre BMW Motorrad” versions of its R1200GS adventure bike, R1200R roadster and R1200RT tourer in Milan at the 2012 EICMA Show. All three models come in a Sapphire Black Metallic color with matte black engines, gold anodized suspension and brakes, and asphalt gray metallic swingarms, trailing arms and rear frames, and granite gray metallic cylinder head covers, and a nickel-plated polished brass plate on the upper fork.
