BMW K-Series description

Faster than every speed limit in the country and comfortable enough to do it all day. Refined, but with more power than you will ever need.

Excellent mix of touring capability and outright power, this bike can do it all. I have ridden 500 miles in a day and was happy to get right back up and do it again the next day. Stable, strong, a joy to listen to as the revs build.....there is so much about this bike that makes riding a wonderful experience.

Although 11 years old, this bike is easily an equal for any modern sport tourer and will put sport bikes to shame. If you want speed but are not interested in the knee and back cramps that usually go with a bike this capable, try this one.

I am not the first owner but it is apparent from the modifications that the previous owners took as much care as I have of this bike. Various restrained bits of carbon fibre have been added to the chassis and engine guards. A battery voltage monitor is affixed to the cowling. I purchased the BMW expandable luggage when I first bought the bike, and recently added a new front tire.

36,000 miles on the odometer are accurate, but all updates and regular service intervals have been honored. The bike runs strong and without issue.

Question of the Day: Single-sided or Double-Sided Swingarms

Tue, 06 Aug 2024

The classic form versus function debate A couple of weeks ago, Ducati pulled the covers off its seventh-generation superbike, the 2025 Panigale V4 and V4 S. The new Panigale introduced a number of changes to the engine, chassis and electronics, aimed at pushing the performance envelope even further. There was one particular change that we knew was going to be polarizing: the change from a single-sided swingarm to a double-sided swingarm.
