2005 BMW K1200S. Selling quickly as my new KTM 1290 Super Duke GT has finally arrived. So I'd rather pass along a deal to someone rather than let the Stealer take it on trade. Some details: Yellow & Black - the limited edition color that defined this bike (I refused to upgrade it because I always thought this was the best color for this incredible bike) Full Laser Hot Cam exhaust (not slip-on, these are the best of the best). Rearsets (adjustable foot pegs) & 3" bar risers to make the bike more comfortable (again, best of the best) Givi keyed detachable size bags. Twisted Throttle quick detach Givi bag mounts (also keyed). When you take these off, you can't tell the bike is setup for bags at all - excellent setup. Factory BMW GPS installed Everything is in great working order - dealer maintained & serviced and current with all service. New tires & brake pads. No functional or cosmetic defects to speak of. Never down and well taken care of. Title in hand. More pictures on request - just wanted to get it up quickly. EICMA 2012: BMW F800GT Announced as Replacement for F800ST
Tue, 13 Nov 2012As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.
BMW Acquires Original Factory
Wed, 26 Feb 2014BMW has acquired a 3.2-acre parcel of land that includes the company’s original factory. Built in 1918, the historic site in the Milbertshofen district of Munich, Germany, housed BMW’s original aircraft engine production plant. The company says the land will become the new home for BMW Group Classic, a subsidiary that documents BMW’s past.
2021 Heavyweight Naked Bike Spec Shootout
Fri, 12 Nov 2021Prelude to battle MO’s string of naked motorcycle shootouts continues, and this time we saved the best for last. We started things off in June with the middleweight class, seeing the Triumph Trident 660 emerge from a six-bike shootout. In August, we moved up a weight class and saw the Yamaha MT-09 come out ahead in another six-motorcycle dog fight.
