BMW K-Series tech info
BMW K-Series description
For Sale is a 2005 BMW K1200LT with custom painted to match Bushtec Turbo II trailer. This bike is pretty much fully loaded. Intercom system, plug ins for heated suits, AM/FM/CD changer, heated front and rear seat, heated hand grips, electronic cruise control, reverse, driver's backrest, passenger armrests, Aeroflow windshield that you can adjust the height of electronically while driving, electric center stand, new front and rear tires, new battery, chrome trailer hitch. Everything is either factory equipment or professionally installed by a BMW dealer. Was fully serviced by Engels in Kansas City before being put up last fall. All services done!!! ABS system serviced and works perfectly.
2001 Bushtec trailer was custom prepped and painted to match this motorcycle. This trailer has the air ride suspension, which is awesome, you really can't tell the trailer is there. Internal capacity is fantastic, ride quality is superb, NO bouncing. All lights work. Also has the great cooler on the trailer tongue for your drinks. Very handy. Trailer also comes with a spare tire and rim. Bill of sale only for trailer as it's under 2000lbs and not titled where I live. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs. I will work with the carrier of your choice to the best of my ability, but the arrangements and costs are the buyers responsibility. Prefer to not separate the pair as they are awesome together, but would entertain the idea. Again, EVERYTHING works as it should. The only flaw is small scuff on right side mirror as shown in the photos. Combo is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction. Any questions, call or text seven eight five, 7 six 1, six one zero 4. Thanks for looking. Have a great day. |

Vines motorcycle scrappage
Fri, 17 Jul 2009Following this year’s earlier Budget announcement about the government’s car scrappage scheme, Vines of Guildford BMW has created a similar scheme for motorcycles. Bike owners with motorcycles bought five or more years ago will be given £1,000 off the list price of a new BMW motorcycle when using their old bike as a part-exchange*. Riders just need to ensure they have at least six months MOT left and the bike must be taxed with clear HPI. Just like the Government’s car scrappage scheme has been put in place to help drivers, and the car industry, through tough economic times, Vines of Guildford wanted to offer motorcyclists the same opportunity, to purchase a brand new BMW motorcycle with the benefit of the £1,000 part exchange. As well as enjoying this benefit on the purchase price of a new BMW bike, riders can also look forward to complimentary panniers with all new R1200GS and R1200GS Adventure models, and complimentary Zumo sat nav system with the new R1200RT until 30 Sept, plus access to BMW’s Select Finance options to get riders on their bikes straight away with the option to change their new bike every two to three years.
BMW showed the electric scooter of the future
Fri, 05 May 2017Motorrad Concept Link is a two-wheeled gadget that understands its owner. An electric propulsion system with a traction battery located in the lower part of the “body” and a motor that transmits traction to the rear wheel via a belt drive is far from the most remarkable aspect of the concept. For example, it has a stretched wheelbase and reverse gear.
When is a 500 Not a 500? – Question of the Day
Wed, 24 Apr 2024When it's a 451, d'uh. In our last Question of the Day, we asked about some of the more… questionable names given to motorcycles (Hondas seemed to come up fairly often in the replies, which is both interesting and somehow not surprising.) I mentioned how it’s generally safer for a manufacturer to stick to a combination of letters and numbers. While that’s generally true, apart from the occasionally comical practice of tackling on another “R” to make a model sound sportier ( looking at you again, Honda), it does bring the focus onto yet another common pet peeve: motorcycles with misleading numbers in the name.
