BMW K-Series description

Very clean 2002 BMW K1200LT with only 9600 original miles.  As you can see from the pictures, the bike is in very nice condition and runs excellent.  Has Metzler tires with 60-70% tread on them.  Loaded with all the bells and whistles!  Some small scratches on back area above wheel (see pics).  Clear Oregon Title and good tags.  Please feel free to email or call with any other questions at 503-805-2684.

Pirelli To Remain Tire Supplier For All World Superbike Classes Through 2018

Pirelli’s relationship with the World Superbike Championship started in 2004 and will carry on through 2018, as the Italian company will continue to supply tires for every class of the championship. What follows is the official Pirelli press release. Pirelli has been confirmed as the Official Tire Supplier for all classes of the eni FIM Superbike World Championship having won the tender organized by Dorna, promoter and organizer of the World Championship, in agreement with the FIM, the International Motorcycling Federation.

BMW Declares New January Sales Record

BMW announced global sales of 5,237 motorcycles in January, a new record for the first month and an 11.1% increase from the 4,714 units sold in January 2011. When it's a 451, d'uh. In our last Question of the Day, we asked about some of the more… questionable names given to motorcycles (Hondas seemed to come up fairly often in the replies, which is both interesting and somehow not surprising.) I mentioned how it’s generally safer for a manufacturer to stick to a combination of letters and numbers. While that’s generally true, apart from the occasionally comical practice of tackling on another “R” to make a model sound sportier ( looking at you again, Honda), it does bring the focus onto yet another common pet peeve: motorcycles with misleading numbers in the name.
