BMW K-Series description

This bike runs and drives great.  I’m selling this for a friend, but I have had k bikes in the past and currently own one.  I have personally seen K1100’s with over 250K miles that still in service.   If you’re familiar with K bikes then you know how durable they are.  This one has a electric windshield with allows you to position the height for the perfect ride.  Owned by a “iron-butt” rider who has passed away, this bike has seen most of its time on the highway.  Heated grips are on this bike which makes cold rides much nicer.  The brake rotors look new, clutch and other bike systems seem to be strong and even at high speeds this bike is rock steady.  Bags and trunk are also really nice options on this bike.  The trailer hitch could be removed and sold separately or you could use this bike to pull a camper or small trailer -its ready to go.  The bike was recently serviced and the fuel level sensor was replaced.   See it in action at http://youtu.be/f1x1-oDrI2k

Rear brake warning light was just the bulb and it has been fixed.  So, braking system is 100%!

Latest on my S1000RR

Mon, 04 Oct 2010

Not sure what's going on with the sound in this vid, but it calms down after a minute - sorry! As my long term BMW S1000RR does most of its miles working hard on track days, I felt an early 6000 mile service might be a good idea. A quick phone call to my local dealer (the friendly and efficient Pidcocks) saw my bike in the workshop the following week and back in my hands by lunchtime.

Updates Coming for 2022 BMW K1600 Models

Tue, 05 Oct 2021

Euro 5 updates and more for six-cylinder K bikes The R18 Transcontinental and R18 Bagger have been getting a lot of attention lately, as BMWs foray into large-displacement cruiser touring segment. Getting somewhat lost, however, are BMWs existing K1600 range, which used to be the companys representatives in the touring category. While still part of BMWs lineup, the six-cylinder models have not been updated since the 2017 model year, not even receiving any changes to meet Euro 5 standards that came into effect last year.
