BMW K-Series description

1994 BMW K1100 LT - In great shape, runs great, rides great, and handles wonderfully. It's silk blue version with the blacked-out engine, trans and rear drive. Many tasteful alterations over the years include: Lowered 1.5", powder-coated black RS wheel conversion, Race Tech front springs for the cartridge emulators, Works remote reservoir rear shock with fully adjustable preload and quick solo or 2-up rider settings. Corbin leather seat AND a Bill Mayer custom seat. New stock windshield, AND a 4" higher, 2" wider Cee Baileys windshield. Throttlemeister cruise control (bar-end throttle lock), 4 new marine grade speakers for the AM/FM stereo, Sirius/XM satellite interface, and a GPS handlebar mount. 7 accessory sockets. Fiamm horns, and HID headlight conversion (BRIGHT!) and hidden Hyperlights brake lights in the rear taillight. New front tire earlier this season, rear tire at 70%. Mechanically she's perfect as well, with new air filter, gas filter, oil filter, ignition wires, and plugs. All oil is synthetic including fresh fork oil, brake fluid, engine trans, and rear drive. Brake fluid has been changed every year. This bike has been adult ridden, has never been down, and only rolled off the side stand once when I first got it. Since this bike has been so well taken care of by its previous (original) owner and myself for the past 4 years, it's stone reliable. I know of old K-bike owners that easily get 150,000 - 200,000 from their K-bikes. This one is certainly a candidate!

2021 Lightweight Naked Bike Shootout Smackdown Comparo Review

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.

EICMA 2008: First Impressions

Mon, 03 Nov 2008

I have had a little walk around checking out the preparations for the show. I haven’t seen anything that I haven’t already seen or heard about previously, but here’s a selection from three of the halls. Yamaha are the only manufacturer to use an industrial crane to place some of its bikes up on high rise stands.
